Biblical Baptism, A How-To Guide

A pragmatic approach to Biblical baptism can help to reunite the increasingly fragmented Christian church. Over the millennia since John the Baptist first began to offer the affirmation of forgiveness upon repentance, baptism has been degraded significantly. Intellectual confusion of religious leaders and the political expedience sought by various Christian administrations has nearly rendered this practice meaningless. However, the New Testament provides every detail, practically a step-by-step “how to” guide for the process. After examining the origin of John the Baptist’s practice, Christ’s baptism by John, Christ’s subsequent endorsement of the ritual, and the Apostles’ application, it is easy to assemble a simple “how to” article. The following should provide all Christians with a firm foundation to conduct Biblically accurate baptisms by water. This is one article in a short series on the importance of Christian baptism.
