Don’t Exalt Yourself

The Parable of the Wedding Feast (Luke 14:7–11) was given at a Pharisee’s House when Jesus observed how attendees jostled for the best position to sit at a dinner. Today, most weddings have nametags and table assignments determined in advance. Apparently, there was less pre-planning in Christ’s time.
