Theology arises from the intellects of fallen men. Not only is it limited by their personal understanding, but it is also confined by the lack of imagination which prevails in seminaries. Can a human imagine something that they have never experienced in part? In Revelation, John is describing what happens when the individual soul finally chooses God and returns home to unity in the Absolute.

All aspects of creation cease to exist in their current form when the disciple embraces God completely. Previously in the gospels, Christ has affirmed the law that all layers of creation shall be bound and destroyed, except the Word of God which is the origin of all.

For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. — Matthew 5:18, Luke 16:17

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. — Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33

Admittedly, I have not read every theologian nor each idea proposed during the past five hundred years since the Reformation movement caused the splintering of acceptable Christian practices. Evidence of the evil that happened during the Reformation can be found in churches that now completely ignore Christ’s teachings in order to appease humankind’s desire for the world.
