Revelation for Whom, Verses 1 thru 3

Prophecy must be interpreted for the ignorant. In the opening verses, John states which sort of Christian is most adept at understanding the book of Revelation. The Christian who actively loves God in meaningful daily methods is best suited to interpret the meanings.

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. — Revelation 1:1–3

John is receiving this message directly from Christ Jesus who is the highest expression of the son of man for the current times.

God gave the message to Christ to show his servants. Spiritual servants of the Trinity (God, Christ and the Holy Spirit) are those who desire to know God and who daily practice the stillness required to cultivate the relationship with God. (See Psalm 46:10)
