Before remote work became a thing, there was a saying that applied to those who claimed to be working outside of the office. “You’ll just dial it in today?” Wink. Wink. In the days before home Wi-Fi and laptop computers that have enough power to guide five or more trips to the moon simultaneously, working outside the office meant you weren’t really working at all. Except perhaps to dial-in telephone instructions to a co-worker or assistant for completing a job that was due that day.
